Keith Briant McFarland born in the best state in the “Dirty South”,Louisiana. My younger years were spent in New Orleans and Heidelberg, Mississippi. In the early 70’s, my parents decided to plant roots in Slidell, LA. It was there where I attended Alton Jr High School for my elementary and junior high education. Then, I matured at Slidell High School.Being open minded and adventurous, I knew that I had to make a major move to a place that could harness the best that I had to give and sharpen, shape, and strengthen the areas that were lacking stability. After an unfocused, eventful, short-stint at the University of New Orleans, I decided it was time to make that move.
I moved to New York in 1986. I drove.From day one, my education began. I quickly learned where I could and could not live. Where I could and could not shop. Where I could and could not eat. I can honestly and unapologetically say that my main reason for moving to The Big Apple was for the fast pace lifestyle and the subway. So, all that other stuff was just part of “the process”.Present Day — Without the adventures of New York, there would be no If By Chance. (IBC) If I hadn’t been born in the South with an adventurous yearning integral spirit, there would be no IBC. It has been my life experiences that birthed IBC. It has been North & South that gave birth to IBC. It’s all about experiences & experiencing. Both states, both regions of this glorious country is what led this magnificent concept into fruition.
